Teaching
“It is essential therefore, from the very beginning of the process, that the following principle be clear: namely, that although the teachers of the students are not the same, the person in charge of education is being formed or re-formed as he/she teaches, and the person who is being taught forms him/herself in this process”
from Pedagogy of Freedom by Paulo Freire
In Fall 2023, I am a Graduate Instructor for the Upper Division class SEASIAN101A with Professor Penny Edwards.
SEASIAN101A or Introduction to the History, Religion, and Culture of Mainland Southeast Asia, offers undergraduate students at UC Berkeley a survey of everything from analysis of 13th century primary texts to contemporary independent cinema.
